Youth Opportunities

The Interact Club of LaSalle

The Interact Club of LaSalle for youth is sponsored by The Rotary Club of LaSalle Centennial and brings together young people to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self. The Club was founded in 2017 and its members attend local high schools and elementary schools.

Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people ages 12-18. Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance, but they are self-governing and self-supporting.

Each year, Interact Clubs complete at least two community service projects, one of which furthers international understanding and goodwill. Through these efforts, Interactors develop a network of friendships with local and overseas clubs and learn the importance of developing leadership skills and personal integrity; demonstrating helpfulness and respect for others; understanding the value of individual responsibility and hard work; and advancing international understanding and goodwill.

Rotary Youth Exchange

Rotary Youth Exchange inspires young leaders to serve as catalysts for peace and social justice in their local communities and throughout the world, long after their exchanges end.

Adventures in Citizenship

Each year the Rotary Club of LaSalle Centennial sponsors a local high school student to attend this event in Ottawa.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)

Each November the Rotary Club of LaSalle Centennial sponsors two local students to attend the District 6400 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards conference.

Hosted by the Interact Club of LaSalle, the Youth Leadership Conference provides students in Windsor-Essex County, the platform to discover and develop their leadership skills.

Post-Secondary Scholarships

The Rotary Club of LaSalle Centennial offers two Scholarships in June of each year.
