Post-Secondary Scholarships

The Rotary Club of LaSalle Centennial is pleased to offer two $1000.00 Scholarships to graduating students planning to attend a post-secondary institution after graduation.

 

To be eligible, a student must be graduating from Sandwich Secondary School, St. Thomas of Villanova Secondary School or be a LaSalle resident graduating from a Windsor Essex High School.

 

Most importantly a student must exemplify Rotary International’s motto of “service above self”.  Applicants should demonstrate through their volunteer service how they have worked to create lasting, positive change within our local and global community.  Special consideration will be given to students who are members of the LaSalle Interact Club and/or those who have participated in Rotary projects

 

These scholarships will be presented at each school’s graduation ceremony, or graduation awards assembly.

 

LaSalle Rotarians are comprised of professional individuals dedicated to improving their local and global community through volunteerism and living our motto of “Service Above Self”.

Our seven areas of focus include:

  • Peace and conflict prevention/resolution 

  • Disease prevention and treatment. 

  • ​Water and sanitation 

  • ​Maternal and child health 

  • ​Supporting education 

  • Growing local economies

  • Protecting the environment

2021 Recipients

In 2021 the two recipients of the award were Kaleb Chassie from Sandwich Secondary School, and Lauren Pandoffi from St. Thomas of Villanova.
